The Hampton Roads Planning District Commission (HRPDC) is excited to announce an upcoming webinar focused on the region’s first Climate Action Plan draft measures and actions. The environmental measures being presented are aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions and protecting our region from the impact of changing environmental conditions. The draft actions proposed are tangible steps that can be taken by local governments, non-profits, industries, businesses, and communities across the region.

The webinar will feature a presentation from the HRPDC staff and a Q&A session. Participants will learn more about the HRPDC, what the Climate Action Plan looks like, and how community members can provide input on draft actions. The webinar will be followed by the launch of a community survey designed to gather feedback and suggestions on which measures and actions should be made the top priority for local officials moving forward. Community members can share their thoughts on these measures and actions by filling out the short 10-minute survey at www.hrpdcva.gov/climate. The survey closes on July 12, 2025.
